I majored in art and went on to receive a PhD in Communicative Disorders/Learning Disabilities and have taught in public and private schools and University settings. Throughout my professional career I have enjoyed and used my art background. I am a member of the American Society of Botanical Arts, the North Shore Art League (Winnetka, IL), the Chicago Art Institute. My juried exhibitions include RAM, Wustum Museum of Fine Arts, Racine, WI., Center for the Visual Art, Wausau, WI., Filoli, Annual Botanical Art Exhibition, and the Member's Invitational Art Exhibition, Union League Club, Chicago . Non-juried exhibitions include Geneva Lake Art Association exhibits, the North Shore Art League Member's Exhibitions, and the Botanical Art Exhibitions by Heeyoung Kim and Brushwood Art Students.
