Tulipa cv.
As the fourth installment in my "Dead Tulip" series, this piece continues my exploration of beauty in transformation. What once was vibrant and full of life now carries a different kind of allure—an elegance in decay.
The tulip has taken on the delicate folds of a runway model's silk dress, draped in quiet movement. There’s a softness in its collapse.
To achieve the deep, velvety hues that saturate the "dress," I used colored pencil with mineral oil as a blending medium. The process allowed the pigments to merge seamlessly giving richness and depth.
This piece, like the ones before it, is a meditation on the cycles of existence. Even in endings, there is beauty.
