I am a full-time Naturalist for Baltimore City Recreation and Parks at Cylburn Arboretum and the Rawlings Conservatory. In this capacity, I lead Nature programs and Botanical Watercolor workshops and I curate annual art exhibits.
Before that, I was a Park Ranger at Hart-Miller Island State Park. Previous positions include Naturalist in Seattle, Biology teacher, Art Activities counselor at a Psychiatric Rehab Facility, and Art and Science teacher in Mexico. I lived in Michoacan, Mexico, for 6 months a year for about 6 years, hiking, teaching, and painting flowers.
My preferred medium is watercolor on hot press paper.
I have 4 children, 6 grandchildren, 2 dogs, 1 cats, 2 rats, and some fish. In addition to Botanical Art, I like bicycle-riding, hiking, camping, sailing, and horse-back-riding.
I have been to Burning Man twice.
