Susan Sapanara is a representational artist recently relocated to Leland NC from the Hudson Valley of NY. Before beginning a career in Textile design, Susan attended The School of Visual Arts. Later, she achieve a certificate with distinction in Botanical Illustration from the New York Botanical Garden and is now the program coordinator. Always advocating for Art, Susan co-founded the Tri-State Botanical Artist of NYBG a circle of The American Society of Botanical Artists. As former artist in residence at Stonecrop Gardens, she lead garden journalling classes and had a solo exhibition there in October 2022. She has participated in numerous exhibitions and her art is held in many private collections.
