I was born in New York City and started drawing at an early age. At The Cooper Union and New York University, I studied fine art and graphic design. I became interested in textile design and studied it at the Parsons School of Design. For many years I worked as a textile designer in home furnishings. After seeing an exhibition of Shirley Sherwood's botanical art collection in 2000, I decided to join the ASBA and paint botanicals in my "spare time . Many of my botanical paintings are in private collections and have been in juried exhibitions all over the country; two were exhibited at the Hunt Institute of Botanical Art and Illustration at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA and one of these is in their permanent collection. My work is also in the permanent collections of the New York State Museum in Albany and the Cooper-Hewitt Museum in New York. Currently I am devoting my time to painting botanicals and other fine art.
